This is what happens when you combine a fully manual 85mm Rokinon lens, mounted on macro extension tubes, and then apply some "paintography" edits on the iPad for effect. This camera rig looks a bit silly and the focal plane is so shallow (approx 1-2 mm) that it's almost impossible to get a clean shot if you handhold the camera (which I did). You just have to set it to burst mode, hold your breath, then move ever so slightly and fire away. Hopefully, one of the shots will focus on the area your aiming for (in this case the bumble bee's left eye). This type of photography will test your patience.
